This waistcoat is made from a flannel of 95% wool and 5% polyurethane with a water-repellent membrane. Flannel is a soft, warm fabric that provides comfort and warmth as well as being breathable. The polyurethane has hydrophobic properties, which means it helps repel water and makes the coat more resistant to light weather. What’s more, the water-repellent membrane makes the overcoat water-resistant by preventing water from penetrating the fabric. In other words, it means the jacket can repel water and stay dry even in wet or humid weather.
